I must implement a parallel workflow part in an existing workflow. I know about the Parallel activity, but this does not suit my needs. My question is, if we got another technique to implement part of a workflow that runs parallel to the actual workflow.

As far as I know I could not use a Parallel activity for that. I could only put all roles of the actual workflow from second role on in one parallel part and the data obtaining part in another. But with that solution it would not be possible to trigger the parallel part from role 2 or a following role.
