I am labing an Azure to azure ASR.

The enginge seems to sync the VM every 5 min. as default to the DR-site.

When i click FAILOVER, choose latest and also enable the vm to shutdown before a last replication after VM has shutdown, it will skip the last replication and no replicate the very last changes to the VM.

What is causing this behavior?

Hi Frank,

In Azure to Azure scenario, the mobility service inside the VM transfers the changes to target region. The changes are replicated till the VM is shut down. 

This particular step of "Synchrnozing latest changes" is applicable only for "Hyper-V to Azure" scenario. For other scenarios - "Azure to Azure" and "VMware to Azure", this steps is not applicable and hence marked as Skipped.
