Hi, we currently have an issue on our test SharePoint server, where navigating to the home page results in
Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
If I then click 'Back' and then 'Forward' again the page loads. I can then refresh the page and click on links and it will take me to the correct pages, however every now and again it will produce the above error.
There are a couple of event logs that are critical ID: 6398 & 3760
6398: The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.LMTRepopulationJob - refers to a database not being able to be logged into with the SVC account.
3760: SQL Database 'xx_Moss_Content_Intranet' on SQL Server instance 'xxxx-xxxxxx' not found. Again a failed login.
Could those be the cause? I dont know how long these errors have been occuring as the logs dont go back far enough.
There is also a Parser error. If you try and launch the site from IIS I get:
Server Error in '/' Application.
Parser Error
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.
Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I've done a few searches online but have not come back with anything useful.
So the site is very intermittent, and wondered if anyone can shed any light!

If you create a new simple page and set it as home page, will the issue occur?
Does the issue occur to other users?
Please log the time you navigate to the home page, and check for the ULS logs during the time. You can provide the whole ULS logs here.
