The links you have are for creating control and adding their properties and editors to Visual Studios property grid while in design mode.  They are not for creating a property grid in you rapplication.  I would suggest using the ones from codeplex as you mentioned or purchasing one from a thrid part control vendor.  This one seems to be popular but I have never used it: http://wpg.codeplex.com/
