I am creating custom forms for new, display, and edit for one of my Sharepoint lists (not my idea, but my task!)

I have been able to modify header (left side) and the form field (right side) by using column width percentages instead of fixed pixel widths.  This works for displaying the description, etc.  I also modify the width of simple input text fields.

A single selection appears to have a fixed width, but when opened, it expands wider.  (Not too bad)

What I have not been able to do is modify the size of the multiple selection boxes, with the "Add>" and "<Remove" buttons.  I would like for the boxes to expand to take up the available space and resize when the window size changes.

Have you found a solution for this? I have seen that the width is hardcoded at control level as follows:

<div style='width:143px;height:125px;overflowcroll'>

So width and height are not coming from any style at core.css. I have tried to overwrite those values using the style for select but the inline style has higher priority over the css file.

Does somebody out there know how to change the width in the multiple selection control?

It is a pity that instead of using styles everywhere, to be changed in an easy way... they use hard coded styles!
