Hello Azure Team,

We are using Azure VM scale machine for run some application to automate test by using selenium chromedriver to run the website and test its performance, but unfortunately, the latest chrome version isn't working properly in Window Core OS and its failed to load and debug.log shows below error:

[0817/091741.103:ERROR:main_dll_loader_win.cc(134)] Failed to load Chrome DLL from C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\68.0.3440.106\chrome.dll: The specified module could not be found. (0x7E)

We have tried to install V64 chrome but its auto update after some random time. We also have tried to stop auto update by its service stopped and registry edit but still its auto updating.

So, we can't move further because we have 2 issues here:

1. We can't stop auto update
2. Chrome v68 is not working

Can you please help us how we can resolved above issues?

As Chrome V68 was released a couple of days back it still needs some work around regarding compatibility, Chrome has inbuilt Auto-Update feature installed so it will install to current latest version even if you use an older version, in this particular situation you can try using Chromium and see if you can achieve your goal with this.
