I got the blue part of the ring, that was easy... got the drop shadow, that was also easy.

Not sure how I can do the orange chaser portion. Looks like the gradient follows the shape of the ring. At first I thought I could just make a few orange segments and taper off the opacity, but the gradient is across the segments too! Its not like one of the segments is 90% the next is 80%, etc. its like a segment goes from 50% to 60% along the shape of the ring.

Any ideas?
