Hi, I would like to create a list in the Quick Launch Bar that when clicked, the file launched in the format that it is saved in e.g. PDF, Word, Excel, etc. How do I do that?

For your request, I recommend you adding links to Quick Launch in site settings.

First, create the excel/word/PDF file in a document library.

If your site is non-publishing site, go to site settings->Quick Launch->add links that point to the file in document library.
