Our client uses SharePoint MySites to store Resource profiles and key data, e.g.  Resource Primary and Secondary role, where they 'sit' in the OBS, what specific skills they have etc.

One question in relation to this is whether you can attach a resume or CV to a MySites page, then configure SharePoint to search/index the pages' metadata(e.g.  Name, Skills, Primary Role, OBS etc) AND also scan and index the resume or CV (MS Word document) contents....so that when a User uses standard SharePoint Search functionality, their searches include not simply site metadata but data embedded within a MS Word document.  We used to do it when I worked for a recruiting company, made it easier to find a candidate with the exact (and at times specific) skill set.
