Iam using search webpart for displaying the data from one content type . search webpart is configured to test.aspx page .it display results just from default template now i want to customize display template but when i search for item_default.html file and navigate to _catalogs/masterpage/search/ i dont find any .html file . anyone help ?? what is the issue .

You need to enable the publishing features.

1. At the Site Collection level, activate SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure.

2. At the Site level, activate SharePoint Server Publishing.
