Hi, total newb here. I want to (finally) root my Verizon HTC incredible 2. Please advise the easiest, yet accurate, and safest was to do so. Must hve clear directions.

Also, if bugging is suspected in phone from ex-boyfriend, please advise any signs of if it is happening and any steps I should take in the root process of preventing further suspicions.
(YES... I have reformatted to factory settings/SD card wipe several times, problems keep arising.)
