Hello,
i am developing an print management application.Idea is any print request from client computer(s) will be authorized by administrator and will be printed.

I have achieved this, but I need to identify what quality of print has been requested by the user, i.e Draft mode, Low Quality mode etc etc..

i am developing application in c#.net windows forms.

Please suggest how can this be accomplished.

I''m sorry for not answering your exact question, but I think the topic is interesting enough to justify this post on related problems.

I''m just curious about one simple thing.

Can it really be cheaper to dedicate all or part of working time of some administrator for this totally non-productive work, with the shear purpose of cutting some costs on saving paper and printer toner? I do understand that saving those resources is very important, not just because of money, but also to keep the whole world more clean, but… Are the users so wasteful so spying on their prints, delaying their work due to the waits for the approval (no matter what, I believe that at least some prints help the workers to achieve something really related to their work :-)) could pay off?

Can this administrator really effectively judge which prints are wasteful and which are effective in all cases? If such administrator is familiar with many of those workers, the number of them are not so high, so the administrator would waste a lot of working time, if the numbers of those people are great, the manual administrator''s control cannot be so effective, or the administrator could mistakenly block or delay some important works.

Could it be more effective to educate workers on the saving of resources and ultimately trust them? Some overhead in overused resources can be compensated by building up more mutual trust between the management and other workers and ultimately promote more enthusiastic work. Perhaps, I''m not familiar enough with Indian specifics. Could such request be a result of Indian settings, such as high rate of unemployment, relatively low cost of labor compared to resources and equipment, etc.?

This post is some general advice. Please don''t blame me if you cannot address the problem this way — this is not my fault. Perhaps this is one of the cases where a developer should take the job with more responsibility.
