We have a requirement to access the xap file on the machine across network.Suppose xap file is on other machine''s folder on the network instead of clientbin folder of application folder and when I run the application the xap file should be manually downloaded from that machine.How can I do this?

You can run a Silverlight application as an out of browser application[^].
Apart from that, there is no way to do this i.e. the only way is to connect to a URL and let the browser download the file for you.
