I have a code runs on windows,which plays sound using playsound() function which needs windows.h,mmsystem.h and winmm.lib.

I need to run the same code in redhat linux which has kdevelop IDE.

i need equivalent function to playsound()
i need equivalent libraries and header files.
it would be helpful,if i''m getting any sample code to achieve this..
