I''m an amateur SQL DBA been in the field for 2months now.... My boss has given me a task to find out and come up with new innovative ways to better our sql environment.. Being new to the game I''m not all that familiar with many of the innovations in this department... But im certainly willing to learn, and would appreciate any topic form you, that i could look up and try implement, that you have think is vital in an sql environment.

I work for a big company, and assume best practice is currently being instilled in the environment, just looking for that extra edge to increase my knowledge and my environment.
