I would like to create a windows service with an console printing out some information. The console will not need any user interaction. this is the scenario. I want to create a windows service, listening on a certain port for incoming messages. as soon as message is received, I would like to write to the console that a message has been received. I have created a windows service by adding all the necessary references to the console project, I can install the windows service, but the console does not launch.

is this possible?
