Sometime when we save file with extension .php. it creat the text file and same program if we run with .php3 extension. it will work.

It does not really matter. HTTP servers have configuration parameter showing what server-side scripting module to use depending on the file name of the referenced resource. You can configure the HTTP server to accept "*.php" only, "*.php3" only or both of them to process the resources using PHP, or both types, or one name for one version, another one for another, which I would recommend to avoid by all means.

Anyway, this is all way too obsolete. PHP v.3 is something long gone, and I would not recommend anything prior to PHP 5.3. Use "*.php" only and don''t torture© you brain. :-)
