I have a question. I''m using Win XP and was thinking that it''d be really neat if I could swtich between my open applications like I would do in Eclipse with Ctrl + pgup/pgdown. So maybe a shortcut ctrl+alt+arrowkeys or similar. Is there an application like this somewhere on codeproject? Would it be hard to write? I''ve found this app A tool to order the window buttons in your taskbar[^] and would try to go from here and take bits out of it to try to write it by myself. I have some C# experience but not really with windows native. Anyways, if anyone knows about an application which does something similar, please let me know, thank you!

You may have missed it but why can''t use just use the built-in, completely standard Alt+Tab method for switching windows that XP provides???? :S Press Alt, then Tab to switch between open applications. Same works on windows 7 too. If fact, (at least on Windows 7 but I think also on Widnows XP) you can change the key combination to (almost) anything you like - just have a search in the Control Panel options.

Hi, thanks for your answer, I know about the Alt+Tab solution.
The reason why I would like to have the Eclipse style switching is because for me it works better.
I can see in advance how the order is going to be (it doesnt change depending on what applications was on top before). And I''d love to have the ability to see the actual window I am in and then just release and already be in that window. I have tried VistaSwitcher, which already is pretty good, but not "perfect" for me. I understand that it is a little bit of a wishful thinking from my side and I am definitely nitpicking here... :)) if its possible that''d be awesome and if not, I''ll continue using vistaswitcher.
Just to get an idea of what I am thinking about: Alt+Esc gives somewhat what I would like the switching to be, but the order is dependent on the z-order and not the order on the taskbar. Still, thank you for the answer!
