I am having a school management project where the setup is installed in two systems...

One setup will have a MDF File(Database) and the setup which is in another computer does not have MDF File, should also be able to access the same MDF File of first system.... Can you please help me how to do it.


Here the thing is i want to use a common Database.

You can just share out the appropriate folder which contains the MDF and connect to it as a disk drive in the PC which doesn''t. It can then access the file directly as if it was part of it''s own hard-drive.

However, this is only a (vaguely) acceptable solution if only one user is going to use the file at a time - Access is not good at multiuser in any way, shape or form.

If you need multiuser, I would strongly suggest that you install SQL Server (the Express edition is free from Microsoft) on one PC and use it to access your database from both.
