I have a SQL Server backed website (asp.net) that is deployed on a remote server on the internet. The employees of my company make extensive use of this website, thus in order to save internet network I am looking for a solution to create a replication of the web site and the database on a server in my local network. This way, the users will be using the local copy of the website and database and will avoid clogging up the internet bandwidth.
For security reasons, all ports of the remote website are closed to external connections.
What is the best and most secure solution to this problem? Preferably, I''m looking for a solution that will imply the remote server pushing its new information to my local server with the minimum usage of server resources, rather than the other way around.
