I cannot see why not. If you really know C# and .NET, you already know most of the ideas involved in Java, at least the fundamental ideas, which are most important. Set aside the obvious statement that anyone without brain damage can learn any technology given it sufficient time :-).

To add to SA''s answer, one difference is that in Java you don''t have such large libraries as in .Net framework. It certainly doesn''t mean that it would be any harder to code Java, just that there are several things you don''t a ready built ''support'' for.

Is it a better option, personally I don''t think so. If you manage both languages that''s a good asset so I think perhaps you shouldn''t change side, just use each one of the languages when appropriate.
