问题描述

While trying to deploy my vb.net(2005) application in to my server am getting the below error. Am using webservice in my windows application.

Error	56	Failed to connect to 'http://xxx/' with the following error: Unable to create the Web 'http://xxx/'.  The Web server does not appear to have the FrontPage server extensions installed.	

我尝试使用Google搜索，但大多数答案是安装扩展程序.但是我的管理员不想安装它.

I tried googling but most of the answers were to install the extensions. But my admin doesnt wants to install it.
Is it mandatory for installing Front Page Server Extensions?
