I get annoyed enough when Microsoft insist on a reboot to upgrade software; if your software rebooted my PC without my express permission just once then your software would be deleted, stamped on, and your company products would go on a black list.

Especially as "lost internet connection" is not likely to be solved by a PC reboot - possibly by a router reboot - all you will do is annoy the user and not solve the problem.
