my 2 cents:
Refactoring is mostly a thing you''ll have to do by yourself. Tools can eliminate unused stuff, can instance something you''ve called too often etc. - the design must be made by you. And do not overdo it, the code needs to be maintainable and must under all circumstances keep the complete functionality!
