There are no any formal differences between functioning obfuscated and non-obfuscated assembly. It is and apparent consequence from the idea of obfuscation itself. Reference the assembly and browse it in Visual Studio or (better) use Reflection to look at the names of types and their members. If the names look like created by a random generator — assembly was obfuscated. Remember that obfuscation could obfuscate only some sub-set of names.
