我目前是今年最后一年的一个项目的学生，我的登录控件以及createuser控件执行得很好，没有任何错误，我目前遇到困难的控件是PasswordRecovery控件，我要在项目中集成它，以便在用户提供安全问题的安全答案后向用户发送电子邮件通知他们当前的密码，我实际上不知道导致web.config文件更新的问题是什么.

I am currently a student working on a project for my final year this year and my login control as well as my createuser control are executing well without any errors, the control that I am currently experiencing difficulty with is the PasswordRecovery Control,I want to intergrate it within the project so that it sends a user an email notifying them of their current passwords after they provide a security answer to the security question, I actually have no idea what is the problem cause the web.config file is updated.
The error that I recieve when I enter the security answer to the security question and after clicking the submit button the application simple returns the following error:The remote name could not be resolved:''Smtp.dut.ac.za''

I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out with this problem.

Password recovery is a Very Bad Idea. The problem is that the password has to be stored in a readable format (encrypted, yes, but still readable) in order for it to work.
Instead, use Hashed passwords and reset them when the user forgets: Password Storage: How to do it.[^]
