Hi All,

I am using a Column chart in my Silverlight Application.The Chart is Displaying fine with the records of 10000 or 20000 but when the Records are going beyond lakhs then its not showing up the Graph.Do any one faced this problem before!!!

I had similar problem in one of my application and later I found the solution as WCF RIA Services with Paging methodology.

If you define the page size is 100, WCF RIA will load the first 100 at initial time-slice. In the background, it starts loading the remaining few thousands of records. It shows page navigation control with specific page too. If the user hits the specific page before the background load, WCF RIA automatically takes care of fetching that particular page. It works really nice.

I would think that your query is timeing out or you are exceeding a volume limit of some description.

20k datarows indicates you have a bad design. If you intend to display 20k data points then the chart is undeadable. Move you aggregation logic into the database or event the WCF layer and not the UI.
