Do not start with ASP.NET until you''re 100% comfortable with C# language. That should take time and include all topics. As the the rest of .NET, you only needs basics at first: data types and variables, type system (with boxing/unboxing), assemblies as libraries and applications, application attributes, processes, string manipulation and formatting, (including System.Text.StringBuilder), OOP, delegates, events. Some elementary basics of reflection can be useful, thread — extremely useful.

When you''re comfortable with all that, go ahead with ASP.NET.
