Hello! I have taken a backup of sql database(.bak) of 2005 and now I want to use that database on another PC with SQL Server 2008. How can I do this.

Right click on the database ==> tasks ==>restore database => from device

pick the backup file by clicking on the button on the right,


fill the "to database" field to be the name of the database


Click OK


After restore is complete. Right click on the database ==> properties ==> compatibility level

set it to 2005 if needed.
