Is it possible to simulate a widows application virtually to return huge amount of application specific data with help of dokan file system.
Example-: file system with larger size can be simulated with help of dokan on wiondows and fuse on linux without having the actual size of disk space,similar to that in case of application can we do something.

I can''t say about dokan in particular, but in general the virtual file system (VFS) module lets you represent a namely virtual file system to the OS and the files don''t need to exist on any physical storage. I.e. you can represent remote files as virtual files on local virtual disk. The files can be of virtually any size - you just need to keep the file size consistent with previously reported one (i.e. if you reported that the file has 1024 bytes during directory enumeration, you must be able to let the OS read exactly 1024 bytes).

The restriction here is that VFS has a separate drive name in Windows (due to the nature of the kernel-mode driver). You can''t create a virtual file on existing disk in existing directory. To do the latter you''d need to employ a filter driver, but at the moment there are no solutions on the market to let you do this. Our CallbackFilter will be extended with this functionality in the next release (3.0).
