You''re not approaching the problem properly simply because there is not such thing as "just robot". A robot is something which you design and build and when you design it you decide what off-the shelf devices you can use to equip it. If this is a third party, they have documentation. There is nothing generic here. Pick up some robot manufacturers and try to ask them.

Bear in mind: absolute majority of robots are industrial ones. They are stationary and connected with cables. This fact also contributes to your lack of progress. You simply waste time.
