I have written javascript code in a master page that moves the header banner (an image) and it is working fine on one page, but when I redirect to another page then moving of the image doesn''t work.

Use FireFox with the FireBug debugger or IE with "Developer Tools" to see if all the javascript modules you need got loaded. After you made sure that all the code bits you need to do your stuff are in place and it still doesn''t work you can set some breakpoints in your javascript and step through the code to find your issues.
