There is no "upgrade" as VB.NET is not strictly derived from VB, more essentially, VB library is totally discontinued, for a good reasons. Therefore, you cannot "upgrade" you can only write a new application.

Want to save a lot of time? Here is my advice: when writing new application, don''t look at old code: it will only delay your progress. I know this from my colleagues'' experience.
