It is rude to ask for code right up front. At least try something on your own first.

The solution is very simple. Create a user account as your processes dictate. Add timestamp for expiration. At login check for the expiration. Not rocket science.

May I apologize for my ignorance. I am a new developer, and sometimes I do not know what or how to ask, simply because I may not know enough about a topic. I am not trying to be rude, I am not sure where to begin. I am developing a website that will offer a 14 day free trial membership, with the option of paying a small fee to continue the membership upon expiration of the trial membership.

I am working on implementing the aspnetdb in SMSS, and attaching it to my App_Data folder. In setting up roles and user accounts I plan to permit the user to enter a username, password, and email address. Much of this programming can be done with the WAT utility.

However, I am not sure what to do with the 14 day trial issue programatically. In other words, do I add code to the master page file, or do something in the database? I have not been able to find either a tutorial or video instruction anywhere that shows me how to do this step by step.

This is the reason for the lack of code in my request. I do not know what to code, or where it belongs in the website or database file. Please understand my frustration. I work full time, raise two kids, and then attempt to teach myself how to program on my own time with books and videos. I am not afforded the luxury of working directly with experienced programmers where I can walk across the hall and have a few questions answered. All of my knowledge is derived from trial and error, books, and videos. I hope you can appreciate how difficult it is to try to learn the topic of software development on one''s own. Please accept my apology if I have offended you. Job prospects are challenging, and I am attempting to learn a new skill so that I can support my family. I am hoping that the website I am developing will provide me with that opportunity.
