I want to implement a simple CAPTCHA in my application. I browsed through many sites but in vain, I could not find much useful help.

Can anybody kindly provide me the source code to create a CAPTCHA.

I am using C# 2008, ASP.NET 3.5 and HTML as the markup.

It would also of great help if I get some explanation in the form of comments.

That''s strange, cause I found some pretty good solutions in what little time it took me to go to Google and enter your request. I even found an article here on Codeproject via google. So maybe you should learn how to master the relatively simple task of using Google, before you do something more complicated like implementing CAPTCHA in your application?
