Hi. I''m writing a program that should read bar codes. I would like to use a scanner as virtual COM port but the producer has only got a driver for 32-bit OS. When I try install the driver, I get the message "You must run a 64-bit version of program DPinst.exe. Please contact with supplier of package". I must use this as virtual COM. What can I do?

If the supplier has not a driver for 64 bit Windows 7 systems there is nothing else you can do: 64 bit versions of Windows 7 (and Windows Vista) could only use drivers that are been specifically designed for 64 bit systems, and they accept only digitally signed drivers.

You can only wait until the manufacturer of your hardware releases a driver specific for your operating system or move to another device which is provided with such a driver.
