You need more than one static IP address if you want to put your server on the LAN AND allow other computers on the LAN to get to the internet. One static IP will allow access to your server, and a 2nd static IP can be shared by all other machines on the LAN (your router has to support NAT and 1:1 NAT.

BTW, you could probably do this with one static IP if your router supports port forwarding. Just forward all packets on port 80 to your server (assuming it''s a web server), but I would go with more than one static IP if it were me. I have five static IPs myself.
