Management put me on a new project that would allow customers to create their own Crystal Reports (in the future). My problem is that our database is critical; it can''t go down for any reason and the load is already high (in fact the database should stay performant at all times so slowing down is also not an option). so for me, adding Crystal Reports queries is a risk.

Question


I would need a way to "measure" the load of the query and benchmark it (green, yellow, red) somehow. Preferably via code or else via a tool or the database itself.

I looked on google, but am not sure where to start, so anything that would help me get started would be great.
