i want to keep a backup of a database when i click on a button of windows form. but all the data including tables & database should be stored in a folder inside a drive according to the user''s choice.

when that user will want to restore it then he/she should be supposed to click on restore button and all the data with tables should be created inside that old database.

Well, it''s clear you are not up to this task, b/c you don''t even give us enough info to be a ble to help you. For starters, what sort of DB is it ? If it''s Access, you can make a backup by making a copy of the MDB file. Otherwise, if you make a backup through SQL, you just write the SQL and execute it. As others said, have you tried anything ? Do you know anything about how to backup a DB ?
