Hi,

I would like to develop a website in asp.net which would have similar interface as Google books reader page.
Do we have any API or any control available in .net which can do this? We will be having collection of documents/books in different formats such as pdf, doc etc. And the webpage should be able to display them as a book to the clients.
I searched google but didn''t get much help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a client has acrobat installed, there is no issue displaying pdf documents. But the same doesn''t go with .doc documents. I thought google must be having some api for this. :sigh:

You have to design your own control that does this for you. A control that takes various formats as a collection input, based on the format use appropriate way to read it and then display the same in a book UI or any other as you want.

Main thing in all would be Reading different formats internally. Like a PDF would be dealt in a different manner than a DOC file.
