当我对网站说(www.yahoo.com)时，我得到的TTL值为54 ...
但是当我追踪同一站点时，我得到的最大跳数为30 ..

c TTL就是最大跳数na，那么y在同一站点的tracert和ping中最大跳数有差异.....

when i ping a site say(www.yahoo.com) i got the TTL value as 54...
but when i tracert the same site i got the max no.of hops as 30..

c TTL is nothing but the max no.of hops na, then y there''s a differnce in the max.no of hops in tracert and ping for the same site.....

In essence the TTL value is the maximum number of hops a request can take before a request expires. So the TTL value may start at 128 at your machine and for each hop the value will decrease by one until it reaches the destination, however if it gets to zero before reaching the destination you will get a TTL expired message.
