I assume this is not a web application, as you don''t say it is.

You can configure your gridview to show whatever you like, the easy option is a windows media player control that shows the basic UI and loads the file.

Saving audio files into a database may be OK if you are not talking about large items but it''s still not a recommended practice. But then sometimes it''s more logical. Look at SQL Server Books Online referring to BLOBS and binary data/SQL datatypes.
