 I need to know how to backup Azure VM's hosted in West India region, especially for Linux. And when Microsoft have planned to launch their recovery service vault service in West India.

Hi Charan, Azure Backup and Site Recovery services is currently not available in West India region but available in Central and South India as shown in the Azure Product Availability portal.

A potential workaround may be to host the Azure VM in one of the supported regions in India. The Backup team is actively working to support protecting Azure VMs across regions. You can upvote the associating feedback here to get community momentum behind this feature.

I am following up internally with the backup team to understand when West India will be supported. In the meantime, monitor this page for release timelines.
