I've tried to find this information before asking here. If I'm in the wrong forum please let me know. Looks like I have SharePoint 2010 Workspace at work. I'm just trying to figure out if I can use the functionality of creating a Workspace, putting files in there and then sending links to co-workers for review WITHOUT have a SharePoint Site set up? I know I wouldn't be able to synchronize (because the document doesn't exist anywhere else) but that's Okay. I just want to use that workspace as my document vault.

I also can't figure out if the invitees are able to make changes to the document of a folder I invite them to or can I restrict this as only a view only?

Both of these questions seem easy enough but I can't find the answer anywhere. I just want to use this functionality to create standard work documentation and then share it with others to view and possibly edit if that's possible. Also, once they have the link from the e-mail to get into my workspace does that link always work? If I didn't want someone to continue to view do I just create another folder that's not shared? Thanks for any help on this from anyone who may use this like I want to.

SharePoint Workspace started life as a product called Groove, which was a peer to peer collaboration tool. I believe those features are still there. (But I have not used them.) Each user would need to have SharePoint Workspace installed.
