I''ve decided to do.
What I''d like to know is, which version of the book should I get. I am
working in Access 2000, but I don''t want to limit myself to that, I
would like a wider range of knowledge so I can easily move between
Access versions (when I change jobs or if my current employer
upgrades).
If I go with, say, Access 2003 Handbook, will I be missing out on
features of Access 2000, or does each successive version (both book and
access version) simply build on the last, so if I get the most recent
book I''d have a good understanding on how to use all Accesses.

There is no 2003 version of this book. I recommend that you get the 2002
version; it will give you full information about that version, and will
contrast what''s new in 2002 compared to 2000.
