I have taken up this Question bank project to help school children. It will be an open source project. I have decided to use Java as a language but can't decide on the Database. The Database must support an algebraic equation as well as geometrical figures. Any kind of help regarding open source Database and the project layout will be highly solicited.

What I have tried:

I am yet to start the project for this confusion as my knowledge on databases are very much limited.
