Hi,

I'm trying to move towards the Cloud platform in Azure and want to know some tips in terms of use based on the use case of our business.

1. I want to host Domain Controller+File Share on Cloud in Azure
2. I already have my users synced in Azure Active Directory from Office 365.
3. I want to join Laptops and Remote machines to Domain so that staff can get connected to cloud DC and Files on the go.
4. I want the remote devices to get all the Shared Drives done through GPO and other policies applied.

Please guide me on this.

This sort of issue really needs more of an on hands solution provider. In order to find one of those you can try to find one here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/solution-providers/home

In regards to your questions:

1. If you're referring to an AD Domain Controller + File Share in Azure, we provide a tutorial on how to create a vm to be used as a domain controller : https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/videos/create-vms-to-run-domain-controller-and-dns-server-roles/

And to create an azure file share we have docs here : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/files/storage-how-to-create-file-share

However, if you're trying to have more of a on-prem AD experience using AAD, it might make more sense to utilize AD DS which is documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-domain-services/overview

2. & 3. To use AAD for file share you can utilize this tutorial. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-active-directory-integration-for-smb-access-now-in-public-preview/

But it sounds like there might be some confusion in regards to Azure AD and on-prem AD. You don't need a Domain Controller if you're using Azure AD. 

4. If you're trying to utilize GPOs you may want to use Azure AD Domain Services per the tutorial : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-domain-services/manage-group-policy

However, for a more detailed solution I would suggest reaching out to a solution provider for even more clarity.
