We are using Sharepoint online through Office365 Business Pro. There wasn't a specific forum for this option, so I am hoping this is the right place.

I needed to add a large volume of files to a synced folder. The new files were coming from an S3 bucket. I did not want the download of the new files to be simultaneously syncing up to the Sharepoint folder. So, I stopped syncing the folder. The download is nearly done and I want to restart the sync, but now I am wondering if restarting will reconnect with the original local Sharepoint folder or if t will want to create a new local copy. I'd like to not have to re-upload the files that are already in the cloud.

When you stop sync, the system local folder will disconnect from SharePoint library and the files become your local files, there is no more 'to upload' files.
