Hi all
We are running an old sharepoint 2010 server, (planning on upgrading soon, but thats unrelated).
we have a staff list on there, which no one really uses, but its there for new staff to use if the want to know who someone is.
We got told today (IT department) that the list is broken with this error
"Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft SharePoint Designer.
If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator."
I have googled around online and found a few people with similar problems, but all of them seem to have an ID which is searchable in the logs. however my error does not.
I have also tried a few fixes like opening and re-saving in sharepoint designer, and some powershell backend scripts that others say have fixed the problem, but nothing works for us.
I have a feeling it may have been a update that has broken something, but since the site is used only rarely, I have no idea how long its been broken so dont know what update could have caused issues.
I have tried looking thoug the logs, but I cant make heads or tails of it, and can't find where the error would be listed in the logs.
Any ideas what I can do to try going forward

You can get the correlation ID with developer console in your browser. Press F12 to open the developer console in your browser and go to the Network tab. In some browsers like IE make sure it has started to collect information (i.e. press the Play button or triangle if you see one).
