I'm wondering if there's an EASY way to "highlight" (I'm not sure what the technical term is) the top navigation and side navigation headings in SP 2013.

E.g. In the example below -  "Libraries" and "Lists" have darker shading so they stand out as headings. And the navigation tabs at the top are nicely outlined in boxes, rather than floating in space like the default SP layout.

In the standard SP 2013, all the navigation is just kind of "floating" in white space, and I'd like to make it more defined.
